Do's & Don'ts of Trash Disposal

Large items that don't fit in Household (brown/tan) Dumpsters or containers, such as mattresses, sofas, water heaters, washing machines, should be brought to your local Community Site, Chadron Transfer Station, or to the Chadron Administrative office large debris dumpster located on east side of the administrative building. Call Dial-a-Truck or ask a neighbor for help!

Don't Dispose of Large Items, like Sofas or Mattresses In This Way

No large items, such as sofas or mattresses should be placed in or on brown dumpsters or laying on ground
Collection trucks & drivers cannot collect this type of disposed of trash in this manner. Depending on the situation and area, City officials and workers are called in to help dispose of these items. This creates unneeded costs and efforts to all individuals involved.
These large items should be taken to official designated sites in your area for proper disposal

The Community Sites have accommodating hours for the local residents to dispose of these large items; Chadron Transfer Station and dumpster located along the Administrative Building in Chadron can accommodate these large items.
