Bales Weighing Out to Landfill
-
Once collection of solid waste occurs, and the transfer station crew processes the debris and completes the compacting and baling steps. The bales are then loaded into bale trucks; they are covered and/or tarped [by law], then weighed out to verify tonnage that makes its way to SWANN's Permitted Landfill.

SWANN Hosted Happy Hustlers 4-H Members in a Landfill Cleanup Project. In December 2023, a series of unexpected events caused loose fill trash to scatter at the landfill location. As a service project, 4-H members were able to work with SWANN Administrators and clean up the area. See full story on our Trash Disposal Events page on our website.
