NOTICE OF
PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN TO ALL INTERESTED PERSONS THAT:
The Solid Waste Agency of Northwest Nebraska (SWANN) proposes to institute
lease proceedings to enlarge, extend and improve the Agency’s Transfer Station
facilities to include the following described, to wit:
-- Public Hearing (Nebraska State Statute: 84-1408)- to allow for citizens to come
before the Board of Directors with questions.
-- Competitive bidding waiver pursuant to Nebraska State Statute 23-3109
A public hearing will be held by and before the SWANN Board of Directors on the 21st
day of December, 2023 at 7:15 p.m., following regular meeting agenda items, in the
City Council Chambers, Chadron City Hall, 234 Main Street, Chadron, Nebraska.
This hearing is for all persons interested in the above proposed expansion of the
Transfer Station and property lease. At said time and place all such persons shall
have the right to appear and be heard. Oral and written testimony will also be
accepted. All persons interested in such information and matters herein mentioned,
will take notice. Written comments addressed to SWANN Executive Director, at 1010
E. Niobrara St. will be accepted if received on or before 12/14/23.
